the images below are screengrabs from an aleatoric film made with max/msp/jitter. i’ve used run-offs from old cine film that my grandad took all over the place and got them down to 7 separate films. i’ve then split them into their constituent red, green and blue layers and played them in a programmatic sequence over the top of each other in 3 modules with the colours going out of sync. the result is a kaleidoscope of intense colour, very lush looking. sound wise there are accompanying sine, saw and pulse waves that get modulated in pitch, amplitude and equalisation by the overall rgb values of the final image. gonna try to get a recording out of the computer. anyone have a gallery they want to show it in? :)
